Are free Blender sculpting tutorials on YouTube only giving you a basic understanding, but they don't teach you all the steps necessary to create stunning, high-quality sculptures?
That's why we created this extensive Blender course, that teaches you all important sculpting workflows using only free tools.
Learn in a step by step sculpting project how to bring a cute 3D creature to life, by sculpting from references, adding color and rendering a turntable animation.
So, pick up your graphics tablet (a mouse will do too, but it's much less fun) and start your sculpting journey.
In the first two chapters, you will make your very first steps into the sculpt mode of Blender. You will learn about all important tools and workflows, and go through simple exercises.

In this chapter, we use a 2D concept drawing as reference, build a proper base mesh and start sculpting, by adding medium level details.

In this Sculpting Brushes, Tools & Settings section, we delve into the details of each sculpting brush, tool, and general sculpting setting. Here, we combine practical knowledge with explanations of each button and slider to provide a helpful resource that can help you when working through the course.

We spread 13 little sculpting challenges throughout the course, which are little random exercises, to give you a break from the bigger project, and also give you a chance to sharpen your sculpting skills. You will get a prompt, set yourself personal limitations, like sculpting for one hour only, or only use a sphere as sculpting foundation, and then you let your creativity flow.

Some basic Blender knowledge is recommended to have fun with this course, however, no previous sculpting experience is required, since we start at the very beginning.
If you don't have any Blender knowledge, join our free Blender Beginners course, or get our comprehensive Blender Launch Pad course.
We highly recommend using a graphics tablet for this course, even a basic one will make your sculpting journey much more enjoyable.
This course can also help you to make the switch from a different sculpting software to Blender.
I fell in love with 3D the first time I opened Blender in 2004. From my first freelance jobs, to my first teaching experiences, my passion for telling stories in 3D and teaching my experiences to others grew. All of this led me to founding CG Boost in 2019, where I carefully craft Blender courses to make your learning process an enjoyable journey.
