Master 3D Sculpting in Blender Reviews
For good job
I like this course. I want to learn from CG Boost for becoming a master in CG.
I’m still on my way
As I said, I’m not pro sculptor, but the more I take this course, the closer to pro I can feel to be.
To be honest, I didn’t even start doing what I’ve learned in the Videos. But coming from the Launch Pad (that I successfully finished) I can assure that you will get the same quality and teaching we are used to and it’s really great. Even if the videos are done in pre 2.8.x version you will learn a lot and the best is, that there will be an upgrade to the newer Blender versions for free.
Although I am a fan of Zach and CG Boost-especially Launchpad and Beginner courses, “Mastering Sculpting” seemed less useful.
The course suffers from being presented in an earlier Blender version and much of the menu material is no longer applicable. Also, the presentation order seemed odd, covering texturing before brush basics. I gave up and moved on to YouTube videos to supplement the introductory topics.
I imagine I will get into Zach’s sculpting examples once I master the basics. No complaints here: I am happy to support CG Boost because of all the free content I have studied.
A very comprehensive and informative course
Mastering Sculpting in Blender is a very comprehensive and informative course, going way more in-depth into Blender’s Sculpt Mode than any other tutorial series I’ve seen. I’m not a Blender novice, but this taught me a number of new tricks.
A Good Kickstart towards Learning Sculpting
*At the time of which I had taken this course, I had been using Blender 2.8. The course itself was taught in 2.78-2.79, however it is still able to teach the material needed in order to learn general sculpting within Blender, with a little searching due to slight changes in UI organization between versions.
This course was very beneficial towards learning how to sculpt within Blender, exposing students to a better understanding of character creation. This course goes through a crawl, walk, run method of which Zacharias goes through all of the menu options and tools, of which by myself would have probably missed. Afterwards, the practical exercises will teach the importance of sculpting and polygon management to keep your project file from running too slow. After taking this course, you will have a steady baseline understanding of sculpting within Blender, while feeling comfortable creating and experimenting with your own projects.
Great Way To Learn Sculpting
I definitely recommend this course. It covers all subjects, from the simplest to the most advanced, making this course an essential resource for anyone who wants to start or improve their knowledge in sculpture. Zach does a great job, approaching the secrets of digital sculpture and making difficult concepts easy to understand.
Certainly, if you are interested in obtaining professional and high quality results, this is a mandatory course to do.
Mastering Sculpting Review
Although I am still in progress with the course, I find it very interesting and fun course. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. The course provides different techniques to enhance the way you sculpt in Blender.
My thoughts so far …
First of all, I’m not a professional 3D artist, I do this as a hobby at the moment, and I have very little previous experience of 3D modeling. My time available for modeling is somewhat limited to weekends and late weekdays, an odd hour here and there, so my progression isn’t as fast as I would like it to be, however that’s totally on me, and not you. I find the course so far to be well-thought-out and planned, and I probably have more to say once I get further into it, and completed the second project, the Raptor, which I’m in the midst of doing right now. Let me get back to you once I’m further into the course, to give you a more complete view of the course.
Good course as usual
As I mention that on the title your course really good, but in this course I have some issues about the sculpting. I think main problem is we are using different version of the Blender also in this version you are using some add-on which I could not find same add-on for 2.80. Of course, I am quite new on the Blender and some times it’s really difficult how to figure out the problem when I made a mistake.
A great and instructive course
This course is one of the best teaching programs that I have completed so far. Cleanly structured chapters with good, comprehensible examples. Due to the clear structure, the individual lessons can be found quickly at any time.
The course offers many tips for beginners as well as advanced learners, which make working with blender much more efficient. Highly Recommended.
Congratulations on this great work.
Excellent introduction with free cat impressionisms
Zach is an excellent teacher and goes at a very comfortable pace. This course is an ideal introduction into the use of Blenders sculpting tools and technique.
It is for 2.79 and the current version of Blender has moved on a bit but the course is still followable and Zach has added some notes to bridge the gap; this is inevitable with the move to version 2.8.
I look forward to Zach expanding on the use of the Shrinkwrap modifier to allow sculpts to be retopologised prior to rigging. Hopefully this will be released soon as an addendum to this otherwise excellent course.
Best way to learn Sculpting in Blender
It was really fun to dive into the sculpting area in Blender.
Everything is explained perfectly. I’m sure beginners, as well as advanced users, can learn a lot about sculpting here.
Zach has once again released a high-quality tutorial.
Overall I think the course is really good, even though the first part for a beginner is quite scary, Zach teaches you very quickly on what to do. What I will say though is working on 2.8 (which is completely optional) can be confusing at points but you get used to it.
– Within 1 week I feel I have learned how to sculpt thanks to Zach’s monster making part
– Easy to follow
– Well worth the money
Negative: I found one part fairly confusing on the extruding of an arm o the little monster as well as the legs. (Probably just me being fairly new to 3d software and might be because I was using 2.8)
Overall: BUY IT
I have watched all videos in the course. It made it really clear to me how to get started. I sadly don’t have the time to practice a lot right now. Between school and other projects, there is just no time. The course itself is really good though. Not repetitive and easy to follow along.
One of the best 3D Sculpting Courses on the market
Zach’s courses both rich in content and uses clear and easy to understand language and methodology. Basic tools, brush properties, tips, tricks, step by step evolution, dos and don’ts, presentation, it gives all the necessary pieces to develop your style and let your creativity take shape on your computer screen.
After you finish the course, you have more than enough knowledge to either specialize or diversify your 3d modeling and sculpting skills.
I was a complete sculpting novice and this course turned me into a sculptor.
I am happy to report that the Mastering Sculpting in Blender course by Zach Rheinhardt worked for me. Guided by a relaxed and pleasing voice, each carefully crafted lesson provided just the pace and details needed for me to ease into this complex and difficult topic. Seriously. I’d never sculpted anything prior to this excellent course. Highly recommended. Ten stars.
Zach just… gets it, and he gets it right!
Not only is Zach a talented designer and sculptor, he’s also a master at communicating his skills, and I find him very inspiring.
What impresses me most is his ability to begin slowly, methodically, to bring us beginners on board, with the first project, and as the course progresses he builds on what he has taught us, and despite being a beginner at sculpting, he never loses me by going too fast (or slow, which is just as important).
I’ve learned a LOT from Zach’s courses, and at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about!
Amazingly fun and insightful for beginners to pros
I have thoroughly enjoyed going through the Mastering Sculpting in Blender course by Zach. This course along with his other tutorials have helped me go from likely the worst 3D modeler to a fairly capable 3D modeler in no time! 🙂 And I am excited to continue purchasing his future courses to up my game even more! Thanks, Zach! I appreciate you.
Awesome, very good job Zach !!!
This course is fantastic! Really easy to follow along to. Just finished creating the cute fur creature and it looks simply amazing! Would recommend this course to anyone looking to try something new in Blender and advance their 3D skills!
Very full and thorough course with all the tips and tricks you’d hope to gleam from a seasoned professional. Zach really has a passion for his trade and it comes across in every lesson which really helps to boost one’s own enthusiasm. Great course which has definitely helped push my sculpting to the next level!
A great start for your sculpting journey
This is an excellent Tutorial! Without any advanced Blender experience I was able to easily follow along and accomplish great results in no time. Zacharias’ training is well structured, very thorough and methodical. You’ll gain inside into a streamlined and quick sculpting workflow and learn a thing or two about procedural texturing as well.
Best Introduction to Digital Sculpting
This course teaches everything a digital artist needs to know – from a basic a cube to unbelievable creatures or characters. All the Sculpting tools were explained well- everything is easy to understand. The course will get you started with digital sculpting in a fast and fun way.
Great for beginners as well as for advanced
Usually, I approach these kinds of courses very carefully. It is very difficult to share knowledge about sculpting in an understandable way. In this case, the course is a great source of many useful tips, advices and workflow for those who start their adventure with sculpting and for advanced users. I definitely recommend it!
Great as always!
I’ve been following Zacharias activity for a while. His YouTube videos introduced me to 3d sculpting and always were a great source of knowledge. Because of this i decided to buy this course even if I already had a bit of experience in sculpting in blender. And It’s definitively worth it! I foud a lot of things I didn’t know yet. As always Zach explains every single thing in a very clear way and doesen’t allow you to get bored with some jokes time to time 🙂
I think this course is okay for both experienced and beginner users. First ones will find some new tips and techiniques to improve their sculpting skills and second ones will have a great step by step giude to learn sculpting in blender!
An amazing course
Zach always creates useful tutorials, but this course is really amazing. If you want to learn sculpting in Blender from scratch or if you just want to improve your skills, this course is perfect. Zach explains in detail how to sculpt with dynamic topology and gives many tips on lighting and rendering. The procedural shading chapter is really useful for both beginners and advanced users.
This is an excellent course, perfect in every aspect: Educational, not too fast, not boring, and Zacharias‘ English is very easy to understand. Thanks to this complete course I really learned how to approach sculpture in Blender in a professional way. I’m looking forward to a new version for Blender 2.8.
A brilliant guide to sculpting
This is definately one of the most comprehensive courses around, structured so that it’s useful to both beginners and advanced users. It gave me a huge boost in my sculpting ablitity and workflow.
All techniques you need for high quality sculpting!
The video course convinces through the explanation of the sculpting basics, but also the techniques for more experienced users. I use many of the wokflows shown on a daily basis – the course did not only improve the quality of my sculpts, but also my efficiency and speed of learning. Probably the most affordable way to learn sculpting!
Some great tips for intermediates
This would be a great course for those with no experience in Blender sculpting – it take you right from the basics of how sculpting works to each of the different brushes.
However, even for an intermediate skilled ‘Blenderer’ like myself it was packed with useful tips and tricks that I didn’t know about.
Would definitely recommend for anyone who want to improve their Blender sculpting.
For beginners and advanced alike.
This easy to digest and yet full of informations course will get you to understand how sculpting in Blender works.
I have been using Blender since 2010, but mostly for architectural purposes. Though in 2018 I wanted to learn and use it for sculpting. With Zach’s course I was able to understand the basics, like how brushes behave, their settings, to more advanced things like different ways to add details or how to pose a high poly model.
One thing for sure is granted: after “Mastering Sculpting in Blender” I was able to be much less scared of exploring settings and features in Blender’s sculpting room. It was an icebreaker!
The ULTIMATE course for sculpting in Blender!
I really love all the tips and tricks that you can discover along the tutorials.
Sculpting in Blender is not a mystery anymore, I highly recommend it to everyone, beginner and advanced users as well.
An overwhelming amount of knowledge
I can’t comprehend the price Zach set his course to, it is like giving out gold for free! This course will give you the necessary tools to sculpt in Blender, covering an overwhelming amount of knowledge for beginners, intermediates and advanced users. Worth every penny, and much more. Think no more, just get it already ;).
Zacharias does it again!
Honestly I wouldn’t have thought there is still something left to say about Sculpting in Blender, but this course definitely prooved the opposite to me. Zacharias shows some pretty nifty techniques to handle even the highest polycounts in Blender and achieve incredibly detailed results with just simple methods, while casually going through the whole process of sculpting! It’s amazing that there are always things in his videos that I didn’t know before.
A sculpting mastery course
Don’t be fooled! I was surprised to find loads beyond a clear, considered and concise sculpting mastery course, there’s lighting, rendering and way more!
A reference to learn sculpting in Blender
If you ever wondered where to start to learn sculpting in blender, then this course is a must have. Zach describes every single tool that are used in blender for sculpting and provide a very fun and easy tutorial, that can be taken by any beginner. There are also a lot of information and an advanced exercise for more advanced user. This course is definitely a reference to learn sculpting in Blender and Zach put a lot of effort to make a very professional package with a perfect editing.
Zach covers it all and then some!
Zach has set the bar for sculpting training in Blender with this course. If you’re like me, there are sliders in the sculpting toolbars that you’ve never touched, having no idea what they do. Those days are over! Zach covers it all and then some! And it’s not just technical, it’s also technique. Everyone from beginner to expert could learn a skill or two from Zach. It doesn’t get much more epic than this!
Sculpting step by step.
An online course that gave me the basics and the best approaches on how to create high quality sculptures.
This is an excellent course
I’m an artist for many years, and when I transfer from 2D to 3D, I started it with Blender. I bought this course because I want to learn sculpting. The course is excellent, I learn a lot. Zacharias Reinhardt is really a great teacher, he will guide you through every part you want to know about sculpting… tools, tips and tricks will no longer be strange to you. I highly recommend this course, if you want to become the master in your own art of sculpting.
